Oh, a 2008 Tracy Chapman? I was unaware. What do you think of it?
It's pretty good.
Standard Tracy Chapman fare, I think. She won't get flocks of new listeners with it, but folks who already like her work won't be disappointed.
I have found I prefer "Haughty Melodic" to Doughty's other one; it seems richer and more thoughtful to me. I was meaning to tell you that.
Also, after listening to RA,GC, I am worried about the third installment of this series. It seems he sets up some huge questions, but does he intend to answer them? What will his answer be? Please--not more questions that "can't really be answered." These are so personal, it would be really hard to bear.
And what's with the vintage DCFC?
I prefer Haughty, too, for the same reason.
And I wonder, too, what will happen in the third chapter of Andy's trilogy. I worry that it's going to be a blood bath, some sort of horrible murder-suicide, but maybe things will turn out better than that. And really, I don't think that's the issue--what's striking about the writing is not the plot, but the way that the protagonist has to grapple with loss, betrayal, and his own rage.
And what's wrong with vintage Death Cab? I started listening to We Have the Facts... again on election night, and I haven't put it back down yet.
Ahhh. Election Night. Nothing's wrong with vintage Death Cab. I was just curious to see how--out of the tens of thousands of songs, vintage or otherwise--those dozen or so made the Rotation.
You post your lists, and I either recognize the entries or don't. There are often albums I don't recognize, but it's not often I recognize the album but not a possible reason.
