In which I briefly recount recent events

1.
I ran a 5k PR last weekend at the Run in the Garden 5k, a great race in downtown Winter Garden hosted by the great folks at Tri & Run.

2.
I mentioned this already here, but Hillary committed to Rollins last week. We're still quite thrilled.

3.
There's a lizard living in my classroom. I might post pictures.

4.
If you haven't seen them yet, I've had poems published recently in Mudluscious Press, Caper Literary Journal, and elimae.

5.
We had a successful end to a successful track season. We didn't advance anybody to the state finals this year, but we took more people to the regional meet than either Sue or I can recall.

6.
I've been eating lots of apples lately.

7.
My honors American lit class just finished reading Huck Finn. We moved through it pretty quickly, and while I'm glad we read it this year, I'm also glad to be done with it. Next week, we'll start work on Streetcar, which I'm excited about.

8.
We released a new issue of Willows Wept Review yesterday. Please, help spread the word.

9.
This year's Celebrating Education event at the Academy was 1920s themed. Good times.

10.
Does anybody else listen to Gregory Alan Isakov? He came up on Pandora the other day, and I've been listening to him pretty obsessively ever since.
