Yesterday, I overslept for the first time in a long time. I woke up, saw there was daylight, and knew that something was horribly wrong. It was 7:14. It takes 18 minutes to drive to school if I catch the light. I'm supposed to be there by 7:30. You do the math.
I still don't know what happened. Either (a) I was so tired that I slept through the alarm not once, but twice, or (b) the alarm on my phone just didn't go off. I'm suspecting it was (b), only because later in the day, my phone stopped connecting to the internet, refused to send text messages, etc., and had to be rebooted.
So this morning, of course, I wake up at 5:04 and can't go back to sleep because I'm afraid the alarm won't go off.
In other news, I've been reading Christopher Higgs's new novel, The Complete Works of Marvin K. Mooney. A review of it will be forthcoming, I think. I'll recommend that you read it, but if you've never taken a theory class, maybe not. Maybe, but maybe not. I mean, if you've got no idea about rhizomes, maybe not. But still, maybe.
In still other news, it looks like we have the housing thing figured out. It looks like the beginning of April will be goodbye, quaint downtown, and hello, ticky tacky. But it'll be a good thing, I think. More on that later.
