Here, kitty kitty...

That's right, folks. We got a cat.

Hillary's years of asking (begging?) finally paid off on Saturday, when we took a drive down to the South Lake Animal League and adopted a 4-month-old kitten.

They had named her Chubbs, since she used to be a bit on the chubby side, but she's no longer needing to count calories, and none of us were entirely happy with the name. Hill has settled, I think, on Star, which becomes "Star-baby" more often than not.

At present, she has three modes: (1) asleep, (2) wanting to be held and scratched, and (3) pretending the world is her jungle gym.

She spends a lot of time on the front porch, so if you're stopping by to visit, make sure you're careful opening the door. We don't want her running off to join the circus or anything.

In any case, she's very sweet. It looks like Hill picked a good one!
