Here is something you should read.

1.
Since we last spoke, we've graduated another class of students, and I've traveled to Louisville and back for the AP Reading. So there are many thing we might talk about.

2.
But what we have to talk about right now is this: Josh Weil's The New Valley. Actually, we don't really have to talk about it, except for me to say that if you haven't read it yet, you need to.

3.
I will say that we met Josh in Oxford at Square Books during the Conference for the Book back in March, and we went to a quite amazing session where he was interviewed by Richard Ford. (Yes, that Richard Ford.)

4.
And I'll say that this is a book with beautiful prose, prose that captures the rhythm of speech (and thought) with incredible clarity.

5.
And I'll wonder what you're still doing here when you should be reading The New Valley already.
