If my calculations are correct, I have 147 essays to grade this weekend, minus the small number of students who failed to turn in their essays, of course. Fortunately, these are all revisions of work done earlier in the term, so it goes pretty quickly, but still, the stack is somewhat overwhelming.
I am glad, though, that I won't have to be on campus at all this weekend. Don't get me wrong--I like it here--but this will be only the second weekend since the Christmas break that I haven't been required to be on campus for something: track clinic, open house, Valentine's dance, weekend duty, etc.
So I'll be busy with those essays, but at least I'll be at home. And maybe I'll finally be able to get enough rest to get myself well.
