An update: We went to the Barnes & Noble in Winter Garden, book, box, and packing slip in hand. Fortunately, they had Mark Doty's collection on the shelf. Unfortunately, their ".com" customer service people hung up on the in-store customer service people. Twice.
Finally, the store manager got involved, and in a transaction that involved forty-three cents and other arrangements (which I've had to promise the store manager not to reveal), I was able to bring the right book home.
Whew.
